A theatre at the audience’s service

I consider essential to my work knowing for which audience a show is created as much as who is going to perform it, both with opera and plays. This results in my continual search – through workshops and studies with specialists of the area – in order to find the best way to transmit my vision to different audiences.
Luigi Pirandello wrote “Theatre is not archaeology. To not modify and update ancient works for a modern performance is  synonym of disinterest rather then respect. Why is this so? Because a play put on stage is no longer a piece of writing but a piece of life that needs to be created moment by moment, with the collaboration of the audience, which must rejoice in it”.
